General Summary:
Responsible to manage a team of engineering and technical specialists in the Engineering to develop new generation centrifugal chiller products with OEM compressors.
Principal Responsibilities:
1.Leads in new product development by using OEM compressor. Targeted to meet the required efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality, safety and reliability.
2.Assist to deal with inter-company Centrifugal Chiller technology exchange/sharing/ transfer.
3.Oversee continuous improvement of existing centrifugal chiller products, in term of product simplification, optimization, cost saving and others.
4.Oversee the preparation, standardization and maintenance of document required for the products/projects including Drawings, 3D Modeling files, Purchased Part Specifications,Procedures, Bills of Material, Catalogues, Installation Manuals, Product Development files, ProductCertification files such as CE, AHRI, UL, ETL and other documents required for the design and manufacturing of thecentrifugal chiller products.
5.Collaborate with software programming team to establish the centrifugal chiller selection tool.
6.Provide supervision, leadership and training for a team of engineers
7.Analyze,investigate and develop process workflow, supervise and monitor their consistent implementation to ensure the team meeting time line, and in compliance with Sales, quality, manufacturing, safety and reliability requirements
8.Responsible for verifying that the assigned product line designs, development and factory orders processing complied with applicable standards, customer requirements and sounded engineering principles, including those of ETO ( engineered to order) based
9.Develop and maintain excellent communications, documentation, customer/Sales feedback,and 8D quality process to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
10.Responsible for providing technical support to Sales/Marketing, Warranty Service, Quality Control & Production Departments, Associate Companies and Customer as needed.
11.Assist Purchasing Department in sourcing components & raw materials, providing specifications and evaluating quality of vendors.
12.Any other duties assigned by the deputy director of engineering or as detailed in the Quality Documents.
Knowledge,Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Organization skills necessary to manage multiple assignments and priorities/ effective planning. Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure and strong team player.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC and air conditioning system (especially in centrifugal compressor), applications, trouble shooting, testing and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of new refrigerants and its impact.
• Proactive, strong networking capabilities and relationship management skills
• Good written and verbal English communication skill and presentation skill
• Very proactive, innovative, team-player,analytical-minded.
• Computer skills, including MS Office,PowerPoint, 3D modeling skill such as Inventor, Solidworks, etc.
