Objective:
In terms of Carline Management for China Lead Vehicle project, you will be the key interface between procurement function of MB HQ, DGRC and BBAC for all procurement related topics and the representative of MB procurement team with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. From project strategy phase to the end of supplier determination, your responsibility is to make the procurement status transparent in cross functional departments from both timing and cost perspective to facilitate smooth procurement process in framework of China Lead Vehicle project. You will actively communicate with colleagues Procurement, Program management, Controlling, RD, supplier quality and BBAC as JV partner etc. Carline Management in Germany will frequently exchange knowledge and experience with you about the global project information, the major tasks for you are 1) To align the localization target and strategy for China Lead Vehicle project; 2) To create the sourcing roadmap and steering the sourcing to achieved defined project ME; 3) To shape the transparency about sourcing and cost status to relevant project stakeholders and MB management
Task Description:
1. Be the interface between procurement function of Mercedes-Benz Group China, MB HQ, and BBAC for all procurement topics.
2. Representation of Mercedes-Benz procurement (China & Germany) in relevant project meetings, workshops, correlation and collaboration with all relevant internal and external partners to provide relevant data for the project in time
3. Drive and steer purchased parts related topics among RD, cost planning, production plant and the project managers in a cross functional and international environment
4. Lead alignment of localization strategy; meanwhile work as a bridging between MB HQ/China, and BBAC.
5. Creating sourcing roadmap for localization project; tracking the maturity of sourcing activities from both timing and cost perspective; accordingly, reporting cost target achievement to project head and MB management
6. Organizing internal meetings regularly with involvement of high management level of procurement China for procurement activity optimization and internal decision
Qualification:
– University degree in business, economics, engineering, or similar education
– Several years’ work experiences in automotive industry (or comparable)
– Knowledge in automotive production processes, knowledge about procurement and cost management
– Experience in comparative cost systems, calculation & planning, project cooperation with multi-stakeholders
– Multicultural environmental experiences
– High motivation and flexibility combined with a high ability to work independently
– Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills are appreciated as a plus
– Problem solving skills and team orientation
Profound computer competencies in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
