ob Summary We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Applications Scientist with expertise in cellbased assays, biochemical assays, and/or bioanalysis to support GenScript's product offerings for drug discovery in pharma industry and CROs. The incumbent will design and perform experiments, generate and analyze data, and create customer-facing content to support the marketing and adoption of a broad portfolio of kits used in cell and biochemical assays. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and deep understanding of some combinations of mammalian cell culture, functional assays, ELSIA based assays, HTRF, biomarker discovery, or analytical techniques for biotherapeutics. Key Responsibilities 1. Applications and Product Development ? Identify and validate applications opportunities of existing and new products in drug discovery, preclinical research, and CMC stages. ? Design and perform experiments that are relevant and applicable to a broad spectrum of user scenarios, particularly those with underaddressed needs from customers ? Research technical trends, user habbits, and pain points in focus product areas to inform and support product development at different stages 2. Marketing and Customer Support ? Along with development scientists, design experiments and produce data and figures , such as those in manuals, FAQs, tech notes, and webpages, to support product launches ? Propose and generate new scientific data for posters, product sheets, application notes, and other marketing collacterals for trade shows and exhbitions ? Respond to customers' technical inquiries; design and perform experiments to help answer tech support questions 3. Scientific Communication ? Prepare technical reports, application notes, and white papers to showcase GenScript's product portolios, such as those in detection and assays ? Provide high-level technical support to customers in pharma, biotech, and CROs ? Participate in conferences, webinars, and workshops to present technical solutions 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration ? Work closely with R&D teams as well as external and external partners to provide feedback on product improvements ? Support commercial teams with technical expertise during strategic customer discussions ? Provide feedback for product roadmap planning based on industry trends and customer requirements Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience ? Master's degree or higher in Cell Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related field (or BS with 5+ years of industry experience). ? 3+ years in pharma, biotech, or CRO, with hands-on experience in cell-based assays, biochemical assays, and bioanalysis, particuarly those in plate reader format ? Expertise in two or more of the following: ? Assay development: biochemical, or biomarker discovery and development (FACS, ELISA, HTRF, SPR, etc) ? Cell-based functional assays ? Bioanalytical assays (PK/PD, ADA, biomarker) ? Data analysis and statstical intepretation of results Skills & Competencies ? Strong experimental design and troubleshooting abilities ? Understanding of drug development workflows and assay performance requirements at different stages. ? Keen curiosity and fast learner ? Excellent writing of scientific documents in both Chinese and English; strong presentation skills a plus ? Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
