RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1. Supervised responsibility for troubleshooting and diagnosing desktop computer systems and peripheral equipment problems
1.2. Supervised responsibility for IT support operations, including but not limited to receiving and tracking user requests, assigning priority and responsible persons, resolving requests and users’ notification
1.3. Shared responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of desktop computer systems and peripherals (e.g., network cards, printers, modems, mice, add-in boards, copiers, etc.)
1.4. Supervised responsibility for asset management of desktop computer systems (hardware and software inventories, licensing, systems decommissioning, etc.)
1.5. Is responsible for documentation of system problems and resolutions
1.6. Assists with providing basic IT training to PSI staff, at the discretion of Training & Resourcing
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
2. Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) training is a plus
3. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in systems and network administration
4. Knowledge of basic tools and processes for systems administration
5. Experience in installation and maintenance of network cabling
